Ath Bhliain Faoi Mhaise Dhaoibh

046Belated Christmas greetings and a prosperous new year to all!

It’s been over a month since I blogged! The longer it went, the harder it became to motivate myself to actually write something! But today on the very last day of Christmas, I’ve given myself a proverbial kick up the arse and put metaphorical pen to paper.

December is always a busy time, frantically trying to finish Christmas presents, staging, directing, costuming and producing Christmas concerts, visiting, baking, entertaining and, eventually, relaxing with family and friends. With two of the minions celebrating birthdays in December, a sabre toothed tiger and a magical pony cake were baked and decorated, and parties celebrated. Not the time to spend laid up with the flu. That too, had to be endured.

In the spirit of New Year’s, let’s review the last month!

Knitted Christmas presents: 7

Projects abandoned: too numerous to mention

New patterns to publish: 5 – currently scribbled on the backs of Christmas cards, receipts and in the notes folder on my iPhone.

New yarn: 6 (thanks Becca!)

Doctor visits: 2 including a dash to Westdoc on Christmas Eve.

Days in hospital by any member of the family: 0 – huge improvement on previous years.

Happy New Year!
